Todays picture is preparing us for the wonders of Fall.
If you're not familiar with what it's about, "Fix it Friday" is where you take a photo provided by I Heart Faces and edit it to your liking.
In my case I edited my photo in Adobe Photoshop CS4. Let me know what you think or what you would have done differently!
The steps I took:
- First, I sharpened and cropped the image.
- Next I chose to brighten the image a bit.
- I then decided to add some vivid color to the image.
- I chose to perform a photshop action known as "Urban Grit" to add some uniqueness.
- I then whitened the whites in the photo
- I brightened and defined the eyes.
- I softened the skin just a touch.
- I put a slight vignette around the photo.
- I added a warming filter (twice).
- I upped the contrast and shadows slightly.
- Lastly, I darkened certain areas of the photo to focus more on the center point.
Now here are the before & after photos:

ReplyDeleteLove your edit!
ReplyDeleteGreat Edit!
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job of bringing out the detail of the dog - in the original it's mostly undefined - then you gave the impression of a sunray shining down directly on the little girl.
ReplyDeleteLovely editing!
ReplyDeleteGreat edit. The new picture really pops!
